the factors that impede educational achievement for primary and secondary
students lie beyond the schoolhouse door. Educational leaders, no matter
how adept, can be frustrated if these factors are not addressed. Educational
leaders, in most parts of the world, are influential members of their
local, regional, and national communities, who, when empowered to do so,
can ameliorate local impediments to children's educational achievement.|
Local educational leaders often are isolated individuals who lack the knowledge of what's possible, what's worked elsewhere, why and how. They need local support to make any change viable, and international support to implement effective solutions. No international coordinating organization exists for this purpose.
Education in most countries around the world is a vital means for individual success and social, political and economic development. The purpose of the Center is to improve education and promote national development by supporting local teams of educational leaders.
